By giving thanks to the presence of God Almighty aboveabundance and His gift of publication ”Human Development IndexAru Islands Regency” can be completed. The essence of developmentnational development is the development of Indonesian people as a whole anddevelopment of Indonesian society as a whole. The role of the actorsdevelopment then is how to translate innational development planning and implementation. Therefore,instrument is needed to measure the extent to which human development is progressingas it should be.The Central Bureau of Statistics for the Aru Islands Regency seeks tocompiling the Human Development Index (IPM) as a source of informationwhich can be used in the preparation of planning related to developmenthuman beings in Aru Islands Regency on an ongoing basis.
